The hubs and I hosted our third annual Christmas party this weekend, Miracle on Madison!* Why is it called Miracle on Madison? It's not only because of our street name, but also because-- fun fact about me-- I am in the 90's version of the movie Miracle on 34th Street! Well, a picture of me is … Continue reading Miracle on Madison
It's baaaaaaack!!!!! Hello beautiful people! The Wake Up Call is officially back, and I don't know about you, but I really missed it! Before we jump in, I have just one quick thing to share: One of my NaNo posts (I don't remember which. Possibly the one where I was complaining.) was my 100th post … Continue reading Wake Up Call #44
Per usual, something terrifying happened in my house recently. BUT, believe it or not, it didn't involve bugs! This time it involved my cat, Albus, and another four-legged creature. Yes, you guessed it; it was a mouse. I was working from home one Friday afternoon, minding my own business, enjoying the sunshine streaming in through … Continue reading Cat & Mouse
Like most Millenials , I love fall, and I love Halloween. Last Saturday, I hosted a Hocus Pocus viewing party. Naturally, we had snacks, a specialty drink, and I was wearing this sweater: Of course, we barely watched the move, and we realized it's actually very short, and that it scares Katie. And, Binx and … Continue reading Decisions, Decisions
"Bug juice comes from who you are!" Ugh, anyone else remember the show Bug Juice?! I'm pretty sure I still have it recorded on a VHS in my parents' attic somewhere. Sadly, today's post is not about Bug Juice-- although if you know why Eve left camp, please let me know because thirteen year-old Becca is still … Continue reading Bug Juice, it doesn’t come in a jar…
As you all know, I started my new job this week. As such, I have had minimal time/ no brain power to write this week. Luckily, I was featured on a guest post over at Wed in Central Park! Click on over there to check out five things I loved about my wedding.
The series is so cute. I really enjoyed reading what details other brides loved about their wedding. What’s that saying? “Sometimes it’s the smallest things that take up the biggest space in our hearts,” or something like that. I think this series perfectly captures that.

This series is intended to provide some inspiration for couples who are currently planning their wedding. Many couples have a big vision of what they want on the day, but this series is about the details. Most of the weddings discussed in this series will have taken place in Central Park, but some weddings from other locations will be featured. This wedding took place on a beach, which I think is what a lot of people think of when someone says “destination wedding”. Becca married Steve on a beach in the Riveria Maya in Mexico in July of last year. Becca blogs at The Married Cat Lady, but dog lovers like myself will be happy to…

As many of you know, my husband and I recently returned from vacation; we were in Ireland visiting family, and we took a short side trip to London. Now, I could go on and on about what we did each day, but I don't think you're that interested. Instead, I'm just going to tell you … Continue reading London, Baby!
